Assam: Final electoral roll for BTC Election 2025 published, over 7 lakh electors in Kokrajhar

The Final Electoral Roll for the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Election 2025 has been officially published, with January 1, 2025, as the qualifying date for eligible voters. The updated roll follows the disposal of claims and objections submitted after the release of the Draft Electoral Rolls on July 22, 2025.

The announcement was made today by Kokrajhar District Commissioner and Returning Officer Masanda Pertin at the DC’s conference hall, in the presence of representatives from various political parties.

According to official figures, Kokrajhar district encompasses 12 BTC constituencies with a total of 913 polling stations. The electoral roll lists 7,00,752 voters, comprising 3,50,407 male, 3,50,340 female, and 5 third-gender electors.

Speaking to reporters, Pertin noted that only minor changes were made to the final list compared to the draft roll, following the resolution of claims and objections in several constituencies. Fakiragram (Non-ST) constituency recorded the highest number of voters at 75,475, while Srirampur (Non-ST) has the lowest with 47,159 electors.

The final list of polling stations will be released on August 18, 2025, after the completion of the rationalization process. Voters can verify their details through the Citizen’s Corner of the OERMS portal at https://ermssec.assam.gov.in or download the complete electoral roll from the same portal.
