Assam: Final Electoral Rolls 2026 published for Sribhumi district, voter count stands at 9.71 lakh

The Election Commission has published the final electoral rolls for all four Assembly constituencies in Assam’s Sribhumi district, placing the total number of registered voters at 9,71,916, district authorities confirmed on Tuesday, February 10. The rolls also reflect the inclusion of 11 voters from the third gender category, highlighting continued efforts toward electoral inclusivity.

According to the finalized data, the North Karimganj Assembly constituency accounts for 2,72,917 voters, comprising 1,37,052 men, 1,35,864 women, and one third gender voter.

The South Karimganj Assembly constituency remains the largest in the district with 2,91,256 voters, including 1,49,594 male voters, 1,41,659 female voters, and three voters from the third gender category.

In the Patharkandi Assembly constituency, the electoral roll lists 1,85,509 voters, of which 93,972 are male and 91,533 are female, along with four third gender voters.

The Ramkrishnanagar Assembly constituency has a total of 2,22,234 registered voters, comprising 1,12,948 men, 1,09,283 women, and three third gender voters.

District officials also noted a decline in voter numbers in two constituencies compared to 2025. North Karimganj recorded a decrease of 13,273 voters, while South Karimganj saw a reduction of 6,848 voters, a trend that election authorities said would be closely examined.

The details were shared by Sribhumi District Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Dwivedi during a press briefing, where he said the publication of the final rolls marks a key administrative step ahead of future electoral exercises and ensures transparency and accuracy in the democratic process.
