A teacher named Kamakhya Chaudhary finds himself at the center of controversy as an FIR (First Information Report) has been lodged against him for an alleged assault on a student.
The complaint against the teacher was filed by the student's family, who alleged that their child was reportedly beaten by the teacher for being outside the school premises the day before.
Chaudhary defended his actions, stating, "Like any other day, I entered the student's house for a visit, as we usually do when students are absent from school. Yesterday, I visited the student's home and asked him why he wasn't studying despite getting older. In response, he pushed me away. When I tried to stop him, he grabbed my hand, and I also held onto his hand to prevent any further confrontation. This incident occurred on Teacher's Day, and it's truly regrettable. What can I say?"
However, the matter escalated when Chaudhary called the student's parents and allegedly pressured them to request transfer certificates for their children, implying that their behavior was the cause for concern.
As a result of these events, a case has been registered against Kamakhya Chaudhary at the North Bongaigaon Patrol Police Station. The police are now investigating the matter to determine the facts surrounding the incident.
In addition to the police inquiry, the student's parents have also lodged a complaint with the District Education Officer. They expressed their dismay over the incident and questioned the teacher's decision to discipline their child during regular class hours. They said that it is typically the duty of parents or guardians to supervise their children after school, not that of the teachers.
