A team of forensic experts from the Directorate of Forensic Science, Assam arrived in Dhubri on Monday to investigate cryptic wall writings that appeared on the wall of the Dak Bungalow, situated directly opposite the Dhubri PI Court. The sudden emergence of the enigmatic messages had sparked widespread concern and speculation across the town.
Treating the case with heightened seriousness, the forensic team conducted a detailed examination, collecting physical and photographic samples of the writings for laboratory analysis. Officials stated that the incident, which “shook the town,” triggered a swift response from local law enforcement and the Chief Minister’s office.
In connection with the case, Dhubri Police have detained an elderly man, though conflicting reports have surfaced regarding his identity. One individual, Nurul Haque Islam, has been mentioned as “mentally unstable” and allegedly arrested. Authorities have not yet clarified whether he is the same person detained or a separate suspect involved in the case.
The exact nature, intent, and origin of the wall messages remain unknown, as investigators continue to analyze their content. The writings’ sudden appearance outside a judicial premises has raised questions about possible political, social, or psychological motivations.
