<p>Mahanta made the announcement while attending a memorial programme organised at Zubeen Greens to mark the first death anniversary of Assamese singer and musician Zubeen Garg.</p>

<p>People across Assam, including residents of Kaliabor, observed the first death anniversary of the popular artiste with tribute programmes and commemorative events.</p>

<p>At the memorial programme in Kaliabor, Mahanta paid tribute to Zubeen by lighting a ceremonial lamp.</p>

<p>Several organisations and institutions in the area also organised programmes to commemorate the singer. The events featured performances of Zubeen’s popular song “Mayabini”, with fans and local residents remembering his contribution to Assamese music and cinema.</p>

<p>A tribute programme was also organised by Jakhalabandha Milan Club and Friendship Club, where Zubeen Garg’s film “Roi Roi Binale” was screened as part of the commemorative events.</p>

<p>The release of Rs 1 crore for Zubeen Greens is expected to support the development of infrastructure at the venue, which has become a focal point for commemorative programmes dedicated to the late artiste.</p>
