Bodo People's Front chief Hagrama Mohilary today gave out a clarion call of 'Pramod Hatao, BTC Bachao.' Mohilary said that his fight is to remove the UPPL chief from power in the Bodo heartland and for this he is leading a movement.
Talking to the media after a party meet at Barama in Baksa district, Hagrama Mohilary said that he is not interested in the politics of Assam or in national politics. He said that his fight is a movement to remove UPPL chief Pramod Boro from power in BTR. And for this he made his clarion call of 'Pramod Hatao, BTC Bachao.'
"This (Amrit Kalash Yatra) is not an issue of our BTC. I am involved in the politics of BTC only. I am not involved in the politics of Dispur or even national politics. I am only fighting for the sake of BTC. We have to save BTC, and remove Pramod Boro. This is our movement," said the BPF chief.
Hagrama Mohilary also made it clear that their party would not be making any alliance for the Lok Sabha elections next year. Mohilary said that the BPF is going to contest both Lok Sabha seats from the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) areas on its own. He further announced that the BPF would be contesting from the Lok Sabha seats of Kokrajhar and Darrang-Udalguri.
"There is no question of any alliance. We are not allying with the INDIA alliance. Nor are we allying with the NDA alliance. We have already decided to contest independently. We contest from both Lok Sabha seats of Darrang-Udalguri and Kokrajhar. And the kind of support I am seeing for our party, we will surely win both seats," said Mohilary.
