Bodoland People's Front (BPF) chief Hagrama Mohilary today reiterated that his party would be claiming victory in two seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Speaking to the media in Baksa district, Mohilary said that the BPF would be claiming victory in the seats of Kokrajhar and Darrang-Udalguri.
"We can see that the position of our party is quite good in the Lok Sabha elections. At the Kokrajhar Lok Sabha seat, we are at the number one position. In the Darrang-Udalguri seat also the BPF is in the number one spot. We have a good chance to win two constituencies," said Mohilary.
The BPF chief also said that the candidates for the two constituencies would be declared in the month of March.
Hagrama Mohilary spoke to the media on the sidelines of a joining ceremony where more than 400 people joined the ranks of the BPF. Mohilary further said that a large chunk of today's joinees are ex-servicemen and youths.
Mohilary has already made it clear that the BPF would go solo in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and would not be entering into any sort of alliance.
The BPF chief had also made it clear earlier that the party would be supporting the the party or the alliance which manages to clinch power at the Centre.
