Assam: Highest voter turnout of 85 per cent recorded in Kaliabor assembly constituency

In an unusual gesture, the District Election Officer of Kaliabor welcomed returning employees with chocolates and a round of haat chapris.

Kaliabor assembly constituency, one of the ten under No. 10 Kaziranga Lok Sabha constituency, reported the highest voter turnout.

Approximately 85 per cent of voter turnout has been recorded across 230 polling stations in No. 57 Kaliabor Assembly constituency. Most officials and employees have returned to the District Election Officer's office in Kaliabor, depositing the EVMs in the strong room.

However, voting is still ongoing in several booths. The District Election Officer of Kaliabor saluted the officers and employees who completed the polling, distributed chocolates and congratulated them. Currently, voting is in process in three polling stations.
