Sharing his excitement on the occasion, Chief Minister Sarma expressed his belief that the best way to inaugurate a new stadium is not merely with ribbon-cutting ceremonies but by actively participating in sports and emerging victorious. Taking to the microblogging platform, he quipped, "Best way to inaugurate a new stadium is to play a game (and win it)," underscoring his passion for sports and his dedication to promoting active lifestyles among the citizens.
Notably, Chief Minister Sarma holds the position of President of the Badminton Association of India, further highlighting his deep-rooted connection to the sport and his commitment to its development across the nation.
The inauguration of the indoor stadium in Nagaon was part of a broader agenda of developmental projects spearheaded by Chief Minister Sarma during his visit to the region. Among the slew of initiatives unveiled were the inauguration of Pranab Baruah Kalakhetra, the laying of foundation stones for Pal Naam Than in Bebejia, Lakhi Nagar Chariali, and the new circuit house in Nagaon, as well as the inauguration of an open theatre and food hut. Additionally, a significant milestone was marked with the foundation stone laying ceremony for the CM's Gourav Path, symbolizing a pathway to progress and prosperity for the region.
