A bomb threat rattled Mission Chariali in Tezpur as the sales boy of a Mahindra dealer received ominous phone calls warning of an impending explosion. The caller specified the presence of a bomb inside a Mahindra Scorpio vehicle, prompting immediate action from law enforcement.

"At around 5:30, I got a call from Siliguri," recounted the sales boy. "They said there would be a bomb blast at the Mahindra dealer. I asked which Mahindra dealer because we have 5 or 6 showrooms. They specified Ashok Motors. I asked again which one, as we have commercial and personal showrooms. They said Scorpio and Bolero. Then I inquired about the time, and they said 6:30. They claimed the bomb was inside the Scorpio car. The caller spoke in Hindi and was male. I immediately informed our senior and the police."

The threat, originating from the phone number 9706492046, targeted a specific XUV vehicle at the dealer's premises, escalating concerns of potential harm. In response, a police team swiftly mobilized to the scene to assess and defuse the situation.
