Illegal coal mafias at Ledo Jharna Basti have allegedly violated orders issued by the Margherita Sub Divisional Magistrate.
It is to be mentioned here that the magistrate had placed restrictions on the movement of commercial vehicles carrying illegal coal, particularly between 6:00 am and 2:00 pm, in response to complaints from Sister Nivedita High School.
"On January 18, there was a notification from the Margherita administration to stop the movement of commercial vehicles during school hours following which there was some relief, however, now again they are plying the vehicles during school hours," the headmaster of Sister Nivedita high school Ledo, Kumar Chetry said.

The school authorities reported disturbances caused by the constant traffic of these vehicles in front of their premises.
However, the coal mafias have disregarded the order, continuing their operations unabated.
The headmaster of Sister Nivedita High School has urged the Margherita Sub Divisional Officer cum Magistrate to take stringent action against those violating the orders.
