Assam: Illegal coal trucks seized in Salbari

Authorities in Salbari have seized five trucks loaded with coal on March 16.

The Salbari authorities intercepted the trucks. The trucks were seized while enroute from Shivsagar to Bhutan due to suspicious circumstances.

The seized trucks bear the following license plate numbers: PB-29 L 9792, AS-01 PC 9529, AS-02 E 5827, AS-04 BC 8607, PB-13 AR 7363.

The drivers of the seized trucks are currently detained, and the authorities have maintained heightened security at the Salbari police station.
