Changing his name to Krishna Sharan Bhakat, Faingor's initiation ceremony, under the auspices of Hiru Prasad Mahanta, the revered Satradhikar of Sri Sri Baghor Goya Satra, epitomized his formal induction into Hinduism and his adoption of the Sankardeva Vaishnavite tradition. Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Barkakati, a distinguished scholar and guide, played a pivotal role in facilitating Faingor's spiritual journey by acquainting him with the profound teachings of Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardeva.
