Assam: Japanese delegation explores investment prospects at Tata Semiconductor Project in Jagiroad

Ahead of the Advantage Assam Summit, the state has received a boost in its industrial landscape with a high-level Japanese delegation visiting the under-construction Tata Semiconductor Assembly and Test project in Jagiroad.

The delegation was led by Keichi Ono, Japan’s joint ambassador to India and Bhutan, and included top executives from several prominent companies. 

The visit underscores Assam’s growing potential as a hub for industrial investment, particularly in the semiconductor sector.

Following the site inspection, the Japanese ambassador and his delegation are scheduled to meet Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to discuss prospective collaborations and investment opportunities.
