A private land in Kadmoni village of Batadrava has been allegedly encroached upon for the construction of a mosque, a local resident claimed on Thursday (August 7).
The landowner, Jubeda Khatun, said she purchased the land in 1985. She accused a group of miscreants of illegally occupying her property to build the mosque and a large boundary wall.
Khatun has filed a complaint at the Batadrava Police Station, but said she has not received any justice so far. She has called for legal action to reclaim her land.
Local authorities have not yet issued any official statement on the matter.
