Assam: Lt Gen Rana Pratap Kalita urge ex-servicemen to clear their concerns regarding pension

General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) of Eastern Command, Lieutenant General Rana Pratap Kalita arrived at Dibrugarh University ground on October 29 to attend the Ex-Servicemen Rally organised by DAO Division of the Indian Army.

Addressing the dignitaries and the ex-servicemen who had gathered at the rally, LT Gen Rana Pratap Kalita urged all (ex-servicemen) to discuss their problems with the senior officials who had come to the event. Calling the pension of ex-servicemen an issue of great importance, Kalita asked the ex-servicemen to clear their concerns and doubts regarding the pension and the benefits they should receive or are not receiving. 

"This rally is not the end of our services. We have opened several seva kendras that will cater to your needs and concerns", said Lt General  Rana Pratap Kalita while speaking to the ex-servicemen.

The rally is part of the Indian Army's commitment to honour the Veer Naris, the widows of ex-servicemen, and the entire ex-servicemen fraternity, for their contribution towards the nation.

The DAO division, in close coordination with military establishments and civil administration concerned aims at resolution of grievances and pension anomalies of ex-servicemen.
