Assam: Major fire breaks out in Dhubri, property worth lakh gutted

A fierce fire tore through the residential area of Newghat in Dhubri, Assam on March 18, leaving devastation in its wake. The homes of Bhasmibhut Mannaf Dewani and Sadag were engulfed in flames, leading to a complete destruction.

The fire erupted suddenly and swiftly spread through the 2 houses, ravaging everything in its path. Goods worth lakhs of rupees were incinerated, adding to the anguish of the affected families.

Visuals captured the intensity of the blaze, showing the once-standing homes reduced to ruins.

Despite the overwhelming odds, alert locals sprang into action, attempting to douse the flames and prevent further destruction. Their brave efforts, although commendable, were unable to halt the relentless advance of the fire, which inflicted extensive damage on the properties.
