Amid Diwali festivities, a chilling crime has rocked the town of Bongaigaon in Assam after a man allegedly murdered his wife.
The accused identified as Kumud Nath allegedly murdered his wife, Jinti Bhuyan Nath, in a brutal act of domestic violence. According to reports, the horrific incident took place in Bashbari Ulubari Para, North Boitamari, where locals say arguments between the couple were a frequent occurrence, often sparked by Nath’s reported struggles with alcohol.
Eyewitnesses recount that the shocking act involved an attack with an axe, leading to the tragic death of Jinti Bhuyan Nath. Residents were left shaken, with many noting that the couple’s disagreements had escalated in recent weeks, exacerbated by Nath’s bouts of intoxication.
Upon receiving the alert, Bongaigaon Police rushed to the scene, launching an investigation into the events leading up to the crime. As authorities searched for evidence and conducted preliminary inquiries, they discovered that the accused, Kumud Nath, had fled the scene and remains at large.
