Assam: Man arrested for killing wife’s alleged lover in Bongaigaon

A sensational crime has surfaced in No. 2 Nachankuti under Bidyapur Police Outpost in Bongaigaon where a man has been arrested for allegedly murdering and burying his wife’s purported partner. The incident, which occurred last Monday, came to public attention only today, December 4.

According to police, the accused, identified as Ekeswar Barman, allegedly killed Nayan Barman after discovering his relationship with Ekeswar’s wife. Following the murder, the accused reportedly buried the victim’s body in an attempt to conceal the crime.

Police apprehended Ekeswar Barman shortly after the case came to light. During the investigation, officers took the accused to the crime scene, where they recovered the buried body of the victim.

Authorities have launched a detailed probe to determine the full sequence of events and any additional circumstances linked to the crime.
