Assam: Man arrested for organising gambling in Bongaigaon during Holi

Police in Assam's Bongaigaon apprehended a man for allegedly organising a gambling session in the name of Holi in the New Bongaigaon area.

According to police sources, four youths had reportedly organised an open gambling session at the Bhaolaguri–Dhaligaon locality of New Bongaigaon.

During the operation, police arrested one accused identified as Hafizur Ali, while three other alleged gamblers managed to flee from the spot.

A large quantity of gambling materials was also seized during the raid.

The operation was jointly conducted by personnel of Bongaigaon Sadar Police Station and New Bongaigaon Police Station.
