Assam man dies mysteriously in Tamil Nadu, family seeks probe

The mysterious death of a 42-year-old man from Cachar's Dholai constituency in Tamil Nadu has raised concerns among his family, who have alleged that he may have been killed and demanded a thorough investigation.

The deceased, Haris Ali, was a resident of Frenchnagar village under Channighat Gaon Panchayat in Cachar district. His body was brought back home five days after his death.

According to his family, Haris's death was not natural. His elder brother Aris Uddin and mother alleged that he may have been murdered under mysterious circumstances and urged the authorities to conduct a proper investigation to establish the exact cause and circumstances of his death.

The family has also expressed suspicion regarding Haris's wife, Sumi Begum, though the allegations have not been independently established.

The family has sought a detailed investigation into the death and demanded that the truth behind the circumstances leading to Haris's death be brought to light.

The family also expressed gratitude to Nazir Uddin, a member of Group No. 9 of Channighat Gaon Panchayat, and others involved in facilitating the return of Haris's body to his native village.

After the body reached the village, funeral prayers were offered at the Laylapur Bazar Jama Masjid premises in the presence of hundreds of people.

Personnel from Laylapur Police were also present and paid their respects during the funeral.

The circumstances surrounding Haris Ali's death remain unclear, and further investigation is required to establish the cause of death and determine whether there was any criminal involvement.
