Assam: Massive fire breaks out at Kirtanpara in Bongaigaon district

A major fire broke out on January 28 at Kirtanpara under Barghola police station in Bongaigaon district of Assam.

According to sources, more than 25 business establishments were gutted in the fire.

It is to be mentioned here that business establishments including grocery stores, cloth shops, several fruit shops and other shops were gutted.

The reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained. 

Firefighters reached the spot and continued their efforts to douse the flames, but one shop after another was gutted in the flames. 

Meanwhile, former MLA Bhupen Rai reached the spot and consoled all the shopkeepers and assured them of relief from the government.
