Assam: Massive python rescued near old Eidgah in Barpeta road

A massive python snake was discovered emerging from the ground near the old eidgah, causing a commotion among onlookers near Balabita in Barpeta road. The incident took place in the vicinity of Balabhita, where locals were taken aback by the sight of the snake in the beel.

Efforts from the public ensued, leading to the successful rescue of the sizable snake which measured approximately 10 feet in length. The collaborative endeavor of the community facilitated the safe extraction of the snake from the area.

Upon notification, officials from the Manah Tiger Project swiftly responded to the scene. The public, demonstrating a proactive stance towards wildlife conservation, handed over the rescued snake to the forest officials.
