Assam minister announces 15,000 government jobs in next 6 months

Assam minister Pijush Hazarika has announced that the government would be announcing about 15,000 jobs in the next six months, while marching towards its target of providing government jobs to the youths of the state.

Addressing a public rally at the Ranganadi constituency today, Hazarika said that the government would be ensuring jobs for 15,000 youths of the state in the next six months. He further said that after that the government will come out with 25,000 more government jobs in the future.

"I want to tell you all that in the next six months 15,000 youths in Assam will get government jobs. For that not a single rupee needs to given, nobody has to face any trouble. Now with this the total jobs handed out would 1 lakh 2000. I was recently talking with Chief Minister. He said that our government is around for another two and half years, and after these 15,000 jobs, atleast 25,000 unemployed youths in the state will get government jobs."

The Assam minister also targeted the Congress party and said that during the Congress regime, jobs were given out only for bribes and that also to candidates from affluent families.

"What were the criteria to get government jobs during the Congress rule? Who would get the jobs? Those who's houses are huge buildings, and who have atleast two cars at their houses. Their parents must be doing good jobs or business. Somebody's brother would be doing a good job or business... only their brothers and sisters would get the jobs. People succeeded in getting jobs in the Congress era by giving bribes. Today those times are over."

Recently, Hazarika had announced that the BJP led state government would be announcing 40,000 government jobs over the rest of its tenure during the two and half years period.

Hazarika had also said that the Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has kept his promise of providing 87,000 youths of the state with government jobs. Hazarika had further said that the government has ensured that all the jobs are provided to youths away from the shadow of corruption and without any incident of bribery.
