Assam: Minister Atul Bora refutes allegations of political Interference in Bajali district demarcation

Assam Cabinet Minister Atul Bora has categorically denied allegations of political interference in the demarcation process of Bajali district.

Speaking to the media during his visit to the district, the senior leader assured that the boundary demarcation exercise is being carried out solely under the initiative of the state government.

“There is absolutely no such issue. There is no political interference in the demarcation of Bajali district boundaries,” Bora clarified, amid growing public discourse on the matter.

He emphasized that while the process may require some time, the district's boundary will be finalized. “The government itself has taken the initiative, and the boundary of Bajali district will be finalized. It may take a little time, but the demarcation will certainly happen,” he added confidently.

Highlighting the consultative nature of the exercise, Bora stated that public feedback has already been collected and conveyed to the Chief Minister.

“It is not necessary that every detail must be made public. Public consultations have been held, and opinions have been gathered regarding the district boundary. The feedback from the public has been conveyed to the Chief Minister, and the boundary demarcation will proceed accordingly,” he explained.
