Assam Minister Pijush Hazarika promises land pattas for poor minority families in char areas if BJP wins Nagaon bypoll

Assam Minister Pijush Hazarika said that poor people from minority communities living in char areas would be provided land pattas if the BJP wins, while addressing an election rally at Mahkhuti in Dhing.

Hazarika also spoke about promoting palm oil cultivation in char areas by providing government assistance and facilities to farmers.

During his address, the minister launched a sharp attack on AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal and Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi, criticising their political positions.

Responding to Ajmal’s reported challenge to wrestle with him, Hazarika said that Ajmal was an elderly person and that he would not accept the challenge. He said he would fold his hands in respect rather than wrestle with him.

Meanwhile, a large number of minority youths were seen gathering to take photographs with Hazarika during the rally. More than 50 people from minority communities also reportedly joined the BJP at the meeting.
