Assam: Mobile phone explosion leaves user with severe injuries in Barpeta

A Realme mobile phone on September 14 exploded, causing severe injuries to its user. The victim, identified as Mayaz Uddin, a resident of Bilashipara in Barpeta Road, experienced the harrowing incident after his mobile phone malfunctioned.

According to reports, Uddin had recently refilled his mobile phone and had placed the device near the back of his body while sleeping. Suddenly, the mobile phone exhibited abnormal behavior, rapidly heating up beyond normal operating temperatures. Startled by the sudden turn of events, Uddin attempted to retrieve the device from his back.

Upon touching the mobile phone, it detonated, resulting in a fiery explosion. Uddin suffered severe burns on his back.

Uddin was rushed to the hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment for his injuries.
