Assam: Morigaon district publishes final electoral rolls, voter count rises by over 5200
Ahead of upcoming electoral exercises, the final electoral rolls for the three Assembly constituencies in Assam’s Morigaon district have been formally published, reflecting a notable increase in the district’s voter base. District Election Officer and Morigaon District Commissioner Anamika Tewari released the updated rolls for 52 No. Jagiroad (Scheduled Caste), 53 No. Lahorighat and 54 No. Morigaon Assembly constituencies.
According to the published data, the 52 No. Jagiroad (Scheduled Caste) Assembly constituency has a total of 2,51,755 registered voters. This includes 1,25,521 male voters, 1,26,232 female voters and two voters from the third gender category.
The 53 No. Lahorighat Assembly constituency has emerged as the largest electorate in the district, with a total of 3,09,141 voters. The constituency comprises 1,59,335 male voters, 1,49,797 female voters and nine third-gender voters.
Meanwhile, the 54 No. Morigaon Assembly constituency has recorded a total of 2,06,019 voters, including 1,02,191 male voters, 1,03,825 female voters and three voters of the third gender.
District Election Officer Anamika Tewari stated that the final electoral rolls show an overall increase of 5,224 voters across the three constituencies compared to the draft rolls. The increase includes 3,308 male voters, 1,912 female voters and four voters from the third gender category.
