Assam: Narrow escape for five after car collides divider in Jogighopa

A major road accident was reported late Tuesday, October 21 night on the Charilen connecting road in Jogighopa, Bongaigaon district, after a speeding car lost control and crashed into a road divider near Helapakhuri.

According to reports, the vehicle a WagonR bearing registration number AS 01FB 4352 and reportedly belonging to Bilasipara was traveling from Deohati towards Goalpara when the mishap occurred.

CCTV footage from the area captured the moment of impact, showing the vehicle lifting off the ground before coming to a halt, indicating the severity of the crash.

Eyewitnesses said the collision could have led to a far more tragic outcome, but five occupants of the car miraculously escaped with minor injuries.

Upon receiving information, the Jogighopa Police rushed to the spot and rescued the injured passengers. The victims were provided immediate first aid, following which they were discharged and allowed to return home later that night.
