Assam: Narrow escape for student safari group as rhino charges at tourist jeep in Manas national park

In yet another alarming incident, a wild rhinoceros turned aggressive and charged at a group of students on an educational safari in the Bansbari forest range of Manas National Park on April 5.

The students, who had arrived from Guwahati as part of an educational tour, faced a terrifying moment when the rhino suddenly charged at their vehicle during the safari. The animal chased the group for a considerable distance, triggering panic among the students and staff.

Thanks to the alertness and quick response of the safari driver, the vehicle was safely maneuvered out of danger, and all students escaped unharmed.

This incident adds to the growing number of rhino aggression cases reported from the park in recent months, raising concerns about visitor safety and the need for enhanced monitoring within the sanctuary.
