Assam's Dhubri Police Reserve joined the state in celebrating the festive spirit of Bhogali Bihu, on January 14.

Officers and staff of the Assam Police, despite their busy schedules, took a moment to revel in the joyous occasion, showcasing the rich traditions of Assamese culture.

The celebrations, organised by the Dhubri Reserve Police Cantonment, brought a sense of unity and festivity to the cantonment.

Superintendent of Police Navin Singh led the celebrations, emphasising the importance of preserving cultural heritage while fostering camaraderie among serving and retired personnel.

On this auspicious occasion, SP Singh honoured a few dozen retired police personnel by presenting them with traditional Assamese gamosas, symbolising respect and gratitude for their service. The gesture resonated deeply, adding a heartfelt touch to the festivities.

The cantonment was abuzz with happiness as the officers and staff participated in various cultural activities. Traditional songs, dances, and festive delicacies added to the merriment, reflecting the vibrant spirit of Bhogali Bihu.

The event not only highlighted the cultural significance of the festival but also strengthened the bond among the police fraternity in Dhubri. It served as a reminder that even amidst demanding responsibilities, moments of celebration and community can bring people closer together.
