Assam: One critically injured after bike collides with traveller in Sribhumi

A fatal road accident took place in Mubarakpur, Sribhumi, where a Bullet motorcycle and a traveller vehicle collided head-on, leaving the biker critically injured. 

The victim, identified as Satyabrata Deb, a resident of Roy Nagar, was immediately rushed to Silchar Medical College Hospital for advanced medical care.

According to sources, the accident occurred when a Traveller vehicle (AS/01/EC/9047) traveling from Badarpur collided directly with a Bullet bike (AS/10/F/4716) heading towards Chargola. Local residents quickly responded, transporting the injured rider to Shri Bhumi Civil Hospital. However, due to the severity of his injuries, he was later referred to Silchar Medical College Hospital for further treatment.

Eyewitnesses reported that the driver of the Traveller vehicle fled the scene immediately after the accident. Authorities are investigating the incident, and efforts are underway to track down the absconding driver.
