Assam online trading scam: Actor Sumi Borah, husband fall ill, brought to hospital for checkup

Assamese actor Sumi Borah, her husband Tarkik Borah, and brother Amlan Borah were admitted to the Assam Medical College around 1:20 am on Sunday after reportedly falling ill. They received medical attention late into the night, with doctors providing the necessary treatment to address their condition.

The trio had been under police custody in when their health concerns emerged. Following a thorough medical check-up and various tests, they were brought back into police custody in the middle of the night. 

This marks the fourth consecutive day that Sumi and Tarkik have remained under police supervision for investigation into the online trading fraud.

Assam police arrested Sumi Borah and Tarkik Borah in connection with a multi-crore trading scam from Jorhat. 

The arrests were made following an investigation into fraudulent trading activities that have caused significant financial losses.

The police have not disclosed further details about the total amount of money involved. 

However, they have assured that a thorough investigation is underway to uncover the full extent of the fraud and identify any other individuals who may be involved.
