Assam: Over 20 injured after passenger bus and traveler collides head-on on NH-17 in Boko

A major road accident occurred on National Highway 17 (NH-17) in Chukuniapara, Boko on April 2 amid the ongoing Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council elections.

The collision took place between a Dhubri-bound passenger bus (AS 17C 8173) and an oncoming traveler vehicle (AS 02BC 4206), resulting in injuries to more than 20 passengers. The impact of the crash was severe, leaving several individuals critically injured.

Emergency services swiftly responded to the scene, and the injured were immediately transported to the Boko Primary Health Center for medical treatment. Local authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident, and further updates are awaited.
