<p>According to the council, members of its central committee had gone to meet the Chief Engineer in his chamber on September 24 after obtaining the necessary permission.</p>

<p>However, the organisation alleged that the officials were treated improperly during the meeting.</p>

<p>The Morigaon district unit expressed strong resentment over the incident, saying the central committee members were left shocked by the alleged behaviour.</p>

<p>At the press conference, office-bearers of the council urged the concerned authorities to take the matter seriously and initiate appropriate action over the alleged incident.</p>

<p>The organisation said it would continue to raise the concerns of PHE temporary workers and seek a proper response from the authorities on the matter.</p>
