A tense situation prevails in Garumora Doloni Village, Jhargaon, under Mayong Police Station, following a violent clash between two communities over a dispute related to grass cutting on February 9.
According to reports, a Hindu Bengali family was attacked by a group of Bengali-speaking minority Muslims, leading to injuries. In retaliation, a Muslim boy and his father, along with eight others, were also assaulted.
All injured individuals received medical treatment and were later discharged.
Two cases have been registered, and the suspected miscreants have been arrested and forwarded to court.

The incident sparked protests, with around 300 locals gathering at Lakhi Mandir, Jhargaon market to condemn the attack. Assam Cabinet Minister Pijush Hazarika visited the victim's family and assured strict action against those responsible.
"We will not tolerate such anarchy in my constituency...till now eleven accused has been arrested related to the case," Hazarika stated, adding that the government is firmly against any foreign influence disrupting peace in Assam.
The affected family of seven was reportedly forced to leave their home due to continuous threats and violence. The attack, involving sharp weapons, has heightened communal tensions in the area, with authorities closely monitoring the situation to prevent further escalation.
