            <div class="clearfix text-formatted field field--name-body field--type-text-with-summary field--label-hidden field__item"><p>Assam Police launched an anti-drug operation near Abhayapuri market in Bongaigaon district, leading to the seizure of a four-wheeler and 23 containers suspected to contain heroin.</p>

<p>According to police, three suspected drug peddlers were travelling from Jogighopa towards Abhayapuri in a Bolero bearing registration number AS 01 FP 4705 when the police intercepted the vehicle and launched the operation.</p>

<p>During the operation, two of the suspected peddlers allegedly managed to flee from the spot, while one person, identified as Ashraful, was apprehended by the police.</p>

<p>Police also seized the Bolero vehicle along with the 23 suspected heroin-filled containers.</p>

<p>The seized items and the apprehended person have been taken into custody, while police have launched a further investigation to ascertain the source and intended destination of the suspected narcotics and trace the two persons who allegedly escaped.</p>
