Assam police official sweeps road after collision between vehicles in Bajali, wins praise

A commendable act of duty and compassion by Officer Bikash Jyoti Deka of Bhabanipur Police Station has earned widespread appreciation from the public.  

Following a collision between a passenger bus and a truck on the Bhabanipur stretch of the national highway, shattered glass from the bus’s windshield littered the roadway, posing a serious threat to pedestrians and bikers. Demonstrating remarkable initiative, Officer Deka took matters into his own hands, using a broom to clear the debris and ensure the safety of travelers.  

The officer’s swift and selfless response has been widely praised by local residents and commuters, who have hailed it as an exemplary act of public service. This incident underscores the often-overlooked compassionate side of law enforcement and reinforces the importance of community-driven policing.
