Assam Police open fires in Tinsukia, one injured

A thief while trying to escape in Tinsukia, was shot at by Assam Police on March 6. 

The thief identified as Munna Shah was shot by the police after allegedly committing thefts in various locations. While the incident has brought relief to some residents, it also raises critical questions about police conduct, the nature of crime, and societal issues.

Based on available information, police identified Munna Shah through CCTV footage and apprehended him at his residence

The bullet-ridden thief Munna Shah is currently undergoing treatment at Tinsukia Civil Hospital.
