In a late-night operation, the Dimakuchi police station's patrolling team successfully rescued a rare pangolin along the Dimakuchi-Badlapara road. Led by Officer-in-Charge Mahananda Bhuyan, the team spotted a Pangolin and rescued the creature.
The rescued pangolin, a critically endangered species, was found weighing between three to four kilograms. The police team prevented any harm from befalling the creature. After securing the pangolin, the Dimakuchi police contacted authorities at the Barnadi Sanctuary to ensure its safe transfer.
"We acted swiftly to safeguard the endangered pangolin," stated Officer-in-Charge Mahananda Bhuyan, stating the importance of protecting the region's vulnerable wildlife.
Plans are now underway to transport the rescued pangolin to the safety of the Barnadi Sanctuary, where it will be released under the supervision of forest officials.
