Assam Police shut Pankaj Pathak’s camp in Kokrajhar over permission issues

A hair regrowth awareness camp organized by Pankaj Pathak, aimed at addressing baldness-related concerns, was abruptly shut down by police authorities today, July 3 in Kokrajhar. The event, which was being held at the premises of the Kokrajhar District Sports Association, came to an unexpected halt midway after police officials intervened, citing lack of proper administrative permission.

The camp had attracted numerous participants from the region, particularly individuals dealing with baldness, who had gathered in hopes of receiving guidance and treatment options. However, the abrupt closure by law enforcement left many attendees disappointed and visibly upset.

According to police sources, the organizers had failed to obtain the necessary official clearance to conduct the program, prompting them to take immediate action and suspend the event.

Following the disruption, Pankaj Pathak reportedly left Kokrajhar without addressing the media or issuing a formal statement. As of now, his response to the incident remains unavailable.

Several attendees criticized the timing and manner of the police intervention, expressing frustration over the lack of clarity and communication. Some demanded that such health-related initiatives, especially for underserved concerns like hair loss, be given support rather than being summarily dismissed.

Authorities have yet to comment on whether any legal action will follow or if the event can be rescheduled with appropriate permissions.
