Assam: Porcupine spotted in Bongaigaon, locals alert forest department

A porcupine was found roaming in the Namdapara, third block area of Bongaigaon early this morning, November 29, causing a stir among the local residents. 

The wild animal was first seen by the locals, and few residents quickly managed to capture it after a brief chase.  

The exact cause of how the porcupine ventured from its forest habitat into the populated area remains unclear. The rare sighting of the animal raised concerns and curiosity among the locals.  

The forest department has been notified about the incident, but as of now, no officials have arrived at the scene to handle the situation.
