The Rabha Hasong Joutho Mancha (RHJM) has come forward to defend the identity of Tankeswar Rabha, Chief of the Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council (RHAC), amid allegations questioning his belonging to the Rabha community. During a press conference held at Sukuniapara, RHJM General Secretary Ramakanta Rabha asserted that the claims made by former All Rabha Student Union (ARSU) leader Ramen Singh Rabha are baseless.
Ramakanta Rabha condemned the allegations, stating that Tankeswar Rabha's title "Sarania" does not disqualify him from being part of the Rabha community. He expressed concern over Ramen Singh Rabha's actions, which included filing a petition in the high court and conducting a press meet on September 10, where he claimed he felt no threat from RHAC supporters.
"Why then does he allege that the arson incident at Boko Coaching Academy was perpetrated by those loyal to Tankeswar Rabha?" Ramakanta questioned, noting that the court had dismissed the case regarding the identity disclosure of the RHAC Chief.
He praised Tankeswar Rabha for his commitment to uplifting students in the RHAC region, highlighting efforts to send students to advanced coaching centers in Delhi at no cost for UPSC preparation. Ramakanta Rabha suggested that the allegations stemmed from frustration over court rulings, implying that Ranjan Rabha or his supporters may be responsible for the alleged arson incident.
