Assam: Rakibul Hussain uses santiser after shaking hand with 'miya' people claims AIUDF leader

In Bongaigaon district, under the Dhubri Lok Sabha constituency, an AIUDF party joining meeting took place at Lengtisinga market drawing the participation of several leaders from various political backgrounds. Notable attendees included MLAs Karimuddin Barbhuiyan and Aminul Islam.

During the gathering, MLA Karimuddin Barbhuyan delivered a series of pointed remarks, particularly targeting Congress leader Rakibul Hussain. Borbhuiyan accused Hussain of incompetence and corruption during his tenure as a minister, alleging that his actions led to discontent among the people of Dhubri and contributed to the party's departure from the Congress.

Barbhuyan further alleged that Hussain carries sanitizer in his car and applies it after shaking hands with people. He also claimed that an iftar event organized by Hussain featured food sourced from a hotel in Guwahati casting doubt on the authenticity of the gesture.

Additionally, Barbhuiyan hinted at internal strife within the Congress party, mentioning Nurul Amin Chowdhury's purported expulsion and his alignment with Pradyut Bordoloi and Rakibul Hussain. He expressed his desire for a change in voting patterns urging support for Gaurav Gogoi of the Congress.

The MLA also criticized Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, accusing him of hypocrisy regarding his stance towards the minority community. Barbhuiyan alleged that Sarma, despite previous statements, is now seeking votes from the minority community, particularly targeting "Miyas."

Barbhuyan concluded his remarks by suggesting that the Chief Minister's policies, such as the division of madrasas, would face repercussions in the upcoming elections.
