Assam: Rangia ganja trader claims government forced him into the illegal business

In a shocking revelation, a ganja trader named Ratul Ali in Rangia claimed that he was forced into the illegal business by the government. Ali was recently arrested by the Rangia police with a large quantity of ganja in his possession.

According to the police, Ali was caught red-handed while transporting ganja on his scooty in the Milanpur area of Rangia. The police team, led by Deputy Inspector Samarjyoti Deka of the Rangia police station, made the arrest as part of a secret operation.

When questioned, Ali admitted to his involvement in the illegal trade. However, he claimed that he had no other choice due to the lack of government jobs and facilities. "I didn't get any work, so I had to resort to this," he said.

The police have launched an investigation into Ali's claims. Meanwhile, Ali remains in custody and is awaiting trial.

As the investigation continues, it remains to be seen what action the government will take to address the root cause of the issue and prevent others from being forced into the illegal trade.
