A section of the land mafia in Trilochan, Boko, has instilled fear among locals with their rampant illegal mining operations, occurring nightly. Residents of Trilochan Ujanpara took matters into their own hands by seizing a Falkland vehicle used for illegal land mining during the night.

The land mafia involved in these illicit activities poses a significant threat to the safety and well-being of the local population, with Noor Islam being identified as a key figure. Witnesses report instances of verbal abuse and the destruction of public roads by the land mafia.

It's the Ujanpara folks' route for commuting. They were chopping at night, which we weren't aware of. Today, they started chopping again at 8 am. We reported the incident to the forest department."
