Assam: Specially-abled man successfully completes cycle trip while spreading the message of ' Our Golden Assam'

In a bid to prove themselves that they are not less than anyone, two elderly people from Lakhimpur, have proved that everything is possible with concentration, willpower, and determination. 

Spreading the message of "Our Golden Assam", the two embarked on a long cycle journey, beginning from their hometown Gohpur while covering Sadiya to Dhubri, spreading the message of peace, harmony, and brotherhood.

It is worth mentioning that one of them is a specially-abled man, identified as Munindra Bora, and his friend Har Govind Mahanta of Azad in Lakhimpur. Bora has been cycling across Assam despite not having a leg. 

Bora was helped by his friend Har Govind who along with him travelled on a cycle and spread the message of  ''Our Golden Assam''. 

The duo started their journey from Lakhimpur and cycled through Sadiya, Dibrugarh, and Dhubri, they arrived in Gohpur and will end their journey in Lakhimpur on March 12. Seeing this, several people in Gohpur encouraged them and offered help.

''I am from Lakhimpur. I started my journey from Lakhimpur and travelled via Sadiya, Dibrugarh, and Dhubri and finally, we reached Gohpur today. We will end our journey by today itself in Lakhimpur,'' Bora said while speaking to the media.

''For a long, I was thinking of exploring Assam. I asked for a cycle from Lakhimpur MLA and he said whether I would be able to do it or not. I assured him that I can do it and then I started my journey from Lakhimpur,'' he added.

Meanwhile, a 72-year-old man from Mumbai, who has travelled to eight countries by bicycle arrives in Pathshala on March 12. He spread the holy message of the brave martyrs who sacrificed their lives to save the country.

After visiting Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, China, Pakistan, Singapore, and Jakarta, the person identified as Manohar Shakharam Kadam, is now on his way to Guwahati.
