The encounter occurred at Agratali, a region nestled within the sprawling expanse of Kaziranga National Park. Reports indicate that the poacher was neutralised near a forest camp situated within the Rangamataria range, along the park's eastern periphery.
Details of the confrontation reveal that the poacher succumbed to gunshot wounds sustained during the exchange of fire with vigilant forest staff deployed to safeguard the park's biodiversity. In a display of unwavering resolve, park rangers bravely confronted the poacher, ultimately prevailing in the face of danger.
Following the cessation of hostilities, authorities conducted a thorough search of the area, uncovering critical evidence implicating the deceased poacher in illicit activities. Among the items seized from the scene were a 3.3 rifle, along with three live bullets and an alarming cache of two thousand empty cartridges, underscoring the magnitude of the poacher's nefarious intentions.
In adherence to legal protocol, the body of the deceased poacher was swiftly recovered in the presence of a magistrate, facilitating the commencement of a comprehensive autopsy to ascertain the precise cause of death.
