A heart-wrenching incident occurred as a teenage boy met his untimely demise while returning from his maternal uncle's residence in the Shanbil area of Ramakrishnanagar, located in Assam's Karimganj district.
The victim, identified as Rajyaeshwar Das, aged 13, was en route to board a small boat when it capsized due to the force of strong winds.
The locals became suspicious upon noticing the empty boat floating, prompting them to initiate a rescue operation. Tragically, Rajyaeshwar Das was found lifeless in the water and was retrieved using a fishing net. The shocking news of the boy's death has reverberated throughout the community, leaving a profound sense of sorrow and disbelief.
Authorities swiftly responded to the scene, with the police recovering the body and arranging for its transfer to the Karimganj Civil Hospital for postmortem examination.
