The reconstruction of the Manasa temple near River Kuchiyara in Assam's Sribumi resumed on December 6, after Bangladesh's Border Guard (BGB) had raised objections to it, halting the work. The arrival of the BGB team and their objections were captured on camera.
Following a meeting between the Border Security Force (BSF) and the Bangladesh's border guards, a decision was made to allow the temple's reconstruction to proceed.
The temple site, which previously housed a shrine to Goddess Mansa, had fallen into disrepair over the years.

To revive the cultural and spiritual heritage, a fund of Rs 3 lakh from the Member of Parliament's allocation was sanctioned for its reconstruction, with work commencing a few days ago.
The BSF took the initiative to arrange the meeting, ensuring that both parties reached a consensus. The temple committee expressed gratitude to the BSF authorities for their efforts.
With the green light now given, the temple construction has officially recommenced.
